Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 3 cup Chole/chickpeas soaked overnight


  • 1 large onion finely chopped


  • 1 tomato finally chopped


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2 tsp Everest Kashmir red chilly powder


  • 1 tsp Everest Chole masala


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1 tsp coriander chopped


  • 1-2 tsp Salt to taste


  • 1 1/2 tbsp oil


  • 1 pinch Everest garam masala (optional)


  • 1 cinnamon stick


  • 1 bay leaf


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

Directions

  • Pressure cook chole in a cooker by adding some salt and cinnamon stick
  • When it's done one handful chole and mash it roughly. keep it aside.
  • In a pan add oil and add mustard seeds and wait till it crackle. Then add bay leaf , onion and some salt. Wait till it turn golden brown and shrink in size.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder, cumin powder and wait till the raw aroma goes away.
  • Add tomato and let it turn mushy. Add Kashmir red chilli powder and mix it well. Add chole and mashed chole paste and mix it well. Cover for 5 minutes .
  • Add Everest chole masala and coriander leaves.
  • Finally add some water and bring it to boil. Add pinch of Everest garam masala and simmer for a minute.
  • Garnish with chopped onions, tomato and serve with lemon wedges and eat with hot bhature. 😋
