Description

Matar paneer wahi per andaaz shahi.  In this gravy preparation I have added a lot of spices and flavours along with cream to give a royal taste and look.  Must try recipe

Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 cup green peas


  • 300 gms paneer cubed and fried


  • 4 medium Tomatoes blanched and pureed


  • 1 tablespoon of ginger paste


  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream


  • 1/4th cup of milk


  • 1/4th teaspoon turmeric powder


  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon of kasuri methi leaves


  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts / kaju split into halves


  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilly powder


  • 2 green elaichi/cardamom


  • 2 pinch cinnamon powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala


  • 1 tablespoon khova or mava


  • 1 tablespoon of dhaniya leaves chopped finely


  • 1 tablespoon of desi ghee or oil or butter

Directions

  • Make a paste of kaju and elaichi.
  • Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee in a pan,
  • Add tomato, ginger paste and cook until golden, stirring continuously.
  • Add kaju paste and khova and cook for some time till you get aroma of khova.
  • Add salt, mirch, turmeric coriander powder cinnamon powder and kasuri methi leaves and mix well.
  • Add peas and half cup of water give a whistle in pressure cooker.
  • When pressure released open the lid .
  • To this mixture add paneer and cream, stir well and then add milk.
  • When it comes to a boil add garam masala.
  • After a minute put off the flame.
  • Transfer the mixture to a dish and sprinkle some coriander.
  • Serve it hot with any type of Indian breads like naan, lachha parantha, chapati or rice
