Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • For marination-800 gram chicken


  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice


  • 1/2 tspRed chilli powder


  • 2 tbsp Hung curd


  • 1/2tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 tsp chicken masala powder


  • 1/2tsp salt 1 tsp jeera powder


  • 1 tbsp kasoori methi /dry fenugreek


  • 4 tbsp butter 1 tbsp corn flour 2 tbsp water


  • For the gravy-4 tbsp oil butter


  • Whole spices-2 bay leaves, green cardamom,1/2 inch cinnamon stick


  • 2 Green chillies split


  • 1 onion big finely chopped


  • 1 tbsp chicken masala


  • 1 /2tsp salt or to taste


  • 1/2tsp Red chilli powder


  • 2 tomatoes finely chopped


  • 2tbsp hung curd /thick curd


  • 2 tbsp butter or as per need


  • 4 -5 sprigs Coriander leaves for garnishing


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 cup Water or as per requirement

Directions

  • wash chicken properly under running tap water, pat dry with kitchen towel.
  • Marinate chicken with salt, turmeric, lemon juice, hung curd, jeera powder, chicken masala, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, oil , kasuri methi
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes meanwhile ready the masala gravy
  • heat oil in a nonstick kadhai add in bay leaves, cinnamon stick, green chillies, green cardamom,sautey for a while add in chopped onions, fry until golden brown, add in ginger garlic paste we have already added half while marinating chicken
  • add in red chilli powder, chicken masala sautey for a while then add chopped tomatoes fry until oil separates from masala.
  • In another non stick kadhai add in marinated chicken n fry chicken adding 2 tbsp of butter, cook until chicken becomes tender and light brown
  • Mix 1 tbsp of corn flour with some water and pour on a chicken and cook for another 5 minutes without lid.
  • add butter and cook
  • add in thick curd or hung curd
  • cook until oil separates from masala
  • add in fried chicken,if you want without gravy then no need to add water
  • if you want gravey then add water according to your requirement cook for another 5 to 10 minutes adjust salt
  • Garnish with coriander and serve hot with roti ,naan, rice
