Chicken Meatballs in Orange Sauce

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Minced Chicken 300 grams


  • egg 1 No.


  • All purpose flour 2 tablespoon


  • Bread crumbs 1/3 cup


  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon


  • grated ginger 2 teaspoon


  • castor sugar 1 tablespoon


  • corn flour 1 tablespoon


  • Orange juice 1/4 cup


  • Sweet soy sauce 1 tablespoon


  • Wooden skewers 4

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl, add chicken, egg, pepper powder, required salt, all purpose flour, breadcrumbs and mix together. Shape into small balls.
  • In a sauce pan add 1 litre water and bring to boil. Add the grated ginger to the boiling water
  • Now add the chicken balls into the boiling water. Let it cook for 9 minutes. When cooked the balls will float to the surface.
  • Scoop out and drain the water. Place it on a kitchen towel.
  • In a pan add orange juice, sugar, soya sauce and bring to boil. Simmer for 4 minutes.
  • In a small add corn flour to 1 teaspoon water mix and add to the orange sauce.
  • Simmer for another 2 minutes. By now the sauce should have turned to thick consistency.
  • Now add the chicken balls into the sauce and mix together so that the meatballs get coated with tangy orange sauce. Remove from heat.
  • Thread the chicken meatballs into skewers and serve
