Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • For filling=1 cup soaked chana dal


  • 1/2 soaked masoor daal


  • 1/2tsp ginger greated


  • 1tsp greated green chilies


  • 1tbsp chopped onion


  • 1tsp chopped coriander leaves


  • 1/2tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 cumin powder


  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder


  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder


  • 1tsp (as needed)


  • water 2,3 cups (as needed)


  • 2cup oil for deep frying


  • for the dough=1cup wheat flour


  • 1/2cup purpose flour

Directions

  • Wash the daal and soak for 1/2 hours.in a pot combine daal, water,turmeric powder and salt.bring it to the boil and took until water has completely evaporated from the daal and it is left dry.remove from the heat and allow to cool.
  • In a another bowl take wheat flour and purpose flour,add salt to taste,1tsp oil and water as needed make a soft dough and covered the dough by damp cloth and keep it for about 15mints.
  • In a bowl take cooked daals add all spice powders(cumin,coriander,red chili) add salt, add chopped green chilies,onions,greated ginger mix all things and mashed them properly like soft stuff mixture.
  • Divide the dough into ball sizes.
  • Divide the daal stuffs in to ball size in the same manner but a bit smaller balls.
  • Make holes in each dough ball and fill them with daal mixture then close it from the top.return to the ball shaps again with the palm of both hands.
  • Roll out each ball like a puri but a bit thicker.
  • Heat oil and fry the puries until golden on the both sides.strain of the access oil.serve it with sauce or hot tea.
