Ingredients

Serves 6

  • Raw Mango -3 (500g)

  • Jaggery-3/4 cup (200g)

  • Mustard Oil -2tbsp

  • Cumin Seeds -1tbsp

  • Fenugreek Seeds -1/2 tbsp

  • Fennel Seeds -1tbsp

  • Dry Red Chilli -3

  • Bay leaf -2

  • Turmeric Powder -1/2 tbsp

  • Red Chilli Powder -1/2 tbsp

  • Garam Masala Powder -1/2 tbsp

  • Black Salt-1tbsp

  • Salt as needed

Directions

    Wash the raw mangoes,peel it after drying it and then cut it into small vertical pieces and remove the kernels.

    Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, dry red chilli, bay leaf into it, saute it and then add turmeric powder into it, saute it on low flame and then add mango pieces into it and mix it well and cook it for 2 minutes on medium flame and then add salt, black salt, red chilli powder and 1 cup of water into it. Mix all very well.

    Cover the pan and let it cook for 5-8 minutes. When mango pieces become soft, then add finely grated jaggery and garam masala powder into it and mix all very well.

    Cook the whole till the jaggery completely dissolve and become little thicker. Then switch off the flame and serve it.
