Ingredients

  • Pavs-8


  • Potato boiled and mashed-2 cups


  • Cauliflower grated-3 tbsp


  • Capsicum finely chopped -1/4 cup


  • Onions chopped -1 cup


  • Ginger-garlic paste-2tbsp


  • Tomato puree fresh-1 cup


  • Readymade Tomato Puree -1/4 cup


  • Pav Bhaji Masala -2tbsp


  • Red Chilli Powder -1tbsp


  • Lemon juice -2tbsp


  • Butter-2 tbsp


  • Coriander leaves chopped -2tbsp


  • Lemon slice-2 piece


  • Salt as per taste


  • Cooking Oil

Directions

  • Wash the potatoes and boil it in a pressure-cooker for 2 whistles on medium flame, cool it, peel it and mash it well. Grate the cauliflower. Chop the capsicum,onions and coriander leaves.Grind the tomatoes in a mixer grinder and make puree of it. Grind 1 inch ginger along with 5-6 garlic cloves by using some water in a mixer grinder.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions into it, saute till it turn golden, then add ginger-garlic paste into it. Saute it, and then add grated cauliflower into it, saute it for 2 minutes and then add mashed potatoes into it and mix it well.
  • Then add fresh tomato puree, ready made tomato puree,salt and 3/4 cup water into it. Mix all very well and cook it for 3-4 minutes.
  • Then add red chilli powder and pav bhaji masala into it,saute it for 1 minute and then add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves into it. Mix well and then add butter into it and mix.
  • Heat a tawa, add 1 tbsp butter on it, then slit the pav in half and cook it for few seconds from both the sides.
  • For serving, transfer the bhaji in a bowl, garnish it with some chopped coriander leaves,onion rings and lemon slices and serve hot with pavs.
