Ingredients

  • Bottle gourd -1


  • Potato-2 large


  • Onion-2 medium


  • Tomato-1 large


  • Ginger-garlic Paste-2tbsp


  • Cumin Seeds -1tbsp


  • Dry Red Chilli -2


  • Coriander Powder -1tbsp


  • Turmeric Powder -1tbsp


  • Red Chilli Powder -1tbsp


  • Cumin Powder -1tbsp


  • Garam Masala Powder -1tbsp


  • Coriander leaves chopped -1tbsp


  • Salt as per taste


  • Cooking Oil

Directions

  • Wash and peel the bottle gourd and potatoes and chop both into cubes.Grind 1 inch ginger and 4-5 garlic cloves by using some water into a mixer grinder. Chop the onions and tomato.
  • Heat oil in a pressure-cooker, add cumin seeds and dry red chilli, saute it and then add chopped onions into it. Saute it till lightly browned. Then add ginger-garlic paste into it. Cook it for 1 minute.
  • Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt in it, mix it well and then add chopped tomatoes into it.Cook all on low-medium flame until the tomatoes become little soft.
  • Then add potatoes and bottle gourd into it, saute it with the masalas for few seconds and then add 1/2 cup of water,garam masala powder and coriander leaves into it. Mix it well and then cover the cooker with its lid and cook it for 2-3 whistles.
  • Open the lid when the pressure reduces completely and then serve hot.
