Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups black chana (soaked overnight)


  • 1 tbsp chana masala


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida


  • 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder


  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves


  • 1 tsp salt(acc to taste)


  • 1 cup water


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 5 to 8 curry leaves


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

Directions

  • In a cooker add the overnight soaked chana and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles
  • Once done remove them in a seperate bowl
  • In a pan heat oil
  • Now add cumin seeds , curry leaves and asafoetida
  • Stir for a while
  • Now add the chana
  • Add the remaining dry spices
  • Cover the pan and let it cook for 5 minutes
  • After 5 minutes, give it a stir
  • Add lemon juice and freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • Serve with rotis or parathas
