Ingredients

  • Bottle gourd 1


  • Chana dal 1/2 cup


  • Gram flour 1/2 cup


  • Rice flour 1/4 cup


  • Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp


  • Roasted coriander powder 1 tsp


  • Green chilly paste 1 tsp


  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp


  • Salt 1 tsp or to taste


  • Oil 2 tbsp


  • Onion 1 cut in squares

Directions

  • Soak chana dal for 2 hours. and then grind to a fine paste.
  • peel,wash and grate bouttlegourd ,squeeze excess water.
  • Add all spices, Salt, chana dal paste ,gram flour,and rice flour.
  • Mix well, if needed then ad little water to make medium batter.
  • Grease cake tin with oil and pour lauki batter
  • Put this tin on steamer and steam till 20 minutes.
  • Let it cool and then cut into a square pieces.
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in non stick pan and shallow fry lauki.
  • In a skewer put one piece of lauki, then onion again lauki.s
  • Serve with coriander mint chutney.
