Soak chana dal for 2 hours. and then grind to a fine paste.
peel,wash and grate bouttlegourd ,squeeze excess water.
Add all spices, Salt, chana dal paste ,gram flour,and rice flour.
Mix well, if needed then ad little water to make medium batter.
Grease cake tin with oil and pour lauki batter
Put this tin on steamer and steam till 20 minutes.
Let it cool and then cut into a square pieces.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in non stick pan and shallow fry lauki.
In a skewer put one piece of lauki, then onion again lauki.s
Serve with coriander mint chutney.
