Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 1 cup soya granules

  • 2-3 boiled potatoes

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • 1 tsp red chilly powder

  • 1 tsp green chillies finely chopped

  • 1 tsp salt or as per your taste

  • 1 onion finely chopped

  • 8-10 ice cream sticks

  • 1 tsp Lemon juice

    Wash soya granules 2-3 times with water.

    Soak them for 1-2 hours.

  • 03

    Squeeze excess water. Keep it aside.

  • 04

    Remove skin of potatoes. Grate them in a bowl.

  • 05

    Combine all ingredients in a bowl except oil. Mix all properly. Keep it rest for 20 minutes.

    Take big Lemon size soya mixture in your hands. Place one ice cream stick and make soya chap.

    Repeat process for making remaining chaps.

    Heat oil in a wok. If you want to shallow fry them. Take 2-3 tbsp of oil in a pan.

    Once oil heated carefully put chaps in oil. Deep fry them both sides until crispy and golden brown.

    Remove from oil on kitchen absorbent paper.

  • 11

    Serve hot with tomato sauce and green chutney.
