Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Arbi or seppangkizhangu 250 gms

  • rice flour 1 tablespoon

  • corn flour 1 teaspoon

  • red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • salt 3/4 teaspoon

  • turmeric powder 1/4teaspoon

  • asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon

  • oil 150 ml for frying

Directions

    wash the arbi/ seppankilangu and pressure cook for 1 whistle

  • 02

    cool and peel the skin and slice them vertically

  • 03

    add all the masala powders, rice flour, corn flour,salt and mix well so that all the pieces are coated well

  • 04

    Deep fry in batches till they are golden brown in colour

  • 05

    Suits well with rasam,sambar or curd rice
