  • Raw Banana -2

  • Gram Flour -1cup

  • Rice Flour-2tbsp

  • Asafoetida -1 pinch

  • Red Chilli Powder -1/2tbsp

  • Black Pepper Powder -1/2 tbsp

  • Coriander Powder -1//2tbsp

  • Turmeric Powder -1/2 tbsp

  • Baking Soda -1-2 pinch

  • Salt as per taste

  • Cooking Oil

    Wash, rinse and peel the bananas, chop them into 2-3 equal pieces horizontally, then take each piece and slice in 3-4 pieces vertically.Put the slices in water so that they do not get discoloured.

    Prepare a gram flour batter by mixing gram flour,rice flour,asafoetida,red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, baking soda, salt and water and make a thick lumps free batter of pakora consistency.

    Now pat dry the raw bananas slices on a kitchen towel.

    Heat oil in a pan, dip the banana slices in the batter and coat it well with the batter and then drop it in the hot oil and fry the fritters on medium flame till it become golden brown.

    Then take it out from the oil and drain it on a tissue paper to remove excess oil and then serve it hot.
