Ingredients

  • Oats-1 cup

  • Gram Flour -1/2 cup

  • Curd-1/2 cup

  • Onion chopped - 2 tbsp

  • Coriander leaves chopped -1 tbsp

  • Tomato chopped -2 tbsp

  • Green Chilli chopped -1tbsp

  • Carom Seeds -1tbsp

  • Cumin Seeds -1/2 tbsp

  • Red Chilli Powder -1/2 tbsp

  • Turmeric Powder -1/2 tbsp

  • Salt as per taste

  • Cooking Oil

    Firstly, take a mixer grinder jar, add oats to it and grind it in a fine powder.

    Chop onions, tomatoes, green chillies and coriander leaves.

    Take a bowl, transfer the powdered oats into the bowl, add gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds, chopped onions, green chillies, tomatoes, coriander leaves and the beaten curd into it.

    Mix all the ingredients very well. Add water gradually and keep mixing the batter until a semi thick batter is obtained and the batter is of chilla consistency batter.

    Heat a non-stick tawa, apply some oil on it. Take a laddle full of batter and drop it at the centre.

    Spread it carefully in a circular motion. Smear oil at all the corners of the chilla and cook it from one side on low-medium flame.

    Flip it and cook it on another side for few minutes. Flip it again and cook for few minutes and then take it out on a plate and serve hot with any sauce or chutney.
