Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 nos potaot-big


  • 500 gms cauliflower florets


  • 1 nos green capsicum


  • 2 nos tomato


  • 4 nos onion


  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves :chopped


  • 2 nos green chili


  • 2 tbsp ginger -garlic paste


  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder


  • 2 tbsp kashmiri red chili powder


  • 2 tbsp coriander powder


  • 1 tbsp cumin powder


  • 1 tbsp garam masala powder


  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper powder


  • 1/2 tbsp asafoetida


  • 1 tbsp kasoori methi


  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds


  • 1 tsp salt to taste


  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

Directions

  • First wash the vegetables, cut the gobi in florets. Cut the potatoes and tomatoes in big cubes. Remove the seeds of capsicum and cut it in big 1 inch squares. Chop the onions, green chillies and coriander leaves. Grind 1 inch ginger and 7-8 cloves of garlic in a blender by using some water and make a paste of it.
  • Heat oil in a kadhai or big pan. Add the asafoetida, cumin seeds and turmeric powder into it, saute it and then add potatoes into it. Stir them and cook them covered for 5 minutes.
  • Add the cauliflower florets in them. Mix well and then add salt into it, mix it and then cook it by covering it for 10 minutes till tender.
  • Add the onions,green chillies and capsicum, cook it by covering it for 5 minutes till tender. Then add all the dry masalas and ginger-garlic paste into it. Mix them well and cook for 2 minutes stirring in between.
  • Now add the chopped tomatoes and coriander leaves, mix well and cook for 5 minutes till the tomatoes are tender and soft. At last add kasoori methi, mix it and then switch off the flame.
  • Gobi dhaba style is ready. Garnish it with some coriander leaves and serve it.
