Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 500 gms chicken large pieces


  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste


  • 2 cups water


  • 2 cups oil


  • 5 nos medium sized onions finely sliced


  • 8-10 nos curry leaves


  • 1 tbsp homemade dabba masala:peanuts


  • 1 tbsp dry coconut


  • 2 tbsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1/2 tsp all spice powder


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 4-5 nos green chillies


  • 1 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1 tsp poppy seeds


  • 3 nos garnishing:eggs hard boiled cut in round


  • 2 nos tomatoes cut in round


  • 100 gms noodles boiled with salt, oil and water


  • 1 tsp chopped cilantro for garnishing

Directions

  • Heat oil. Caramelize onions by adding curry leaves till dark golden color. keep some for garnishing.
  • Roast dabba masala. and make fine paste of this masala. if necessary add 1 or 2 tsp water.
  • Heat oil. Add in chicken. add ginger garlic paste. add above paste and salt. mix it well. add some water and cook till chicken is tender.
  • Meanwhile keep aside boiled noodles, sliced tomatoes and boiled eggs.
  • Assembling: In a serving bowl, add chicken with gravy. (keep some gravy for further garnishing) then chopped Cilantro. then set noodles with remaining gravy. now set tomatoes and sliced eggs. and finally some more chopped Cilantro.
  • Your burmese dabba gosht is all ready to serve your loved ones. Enjoy it with zeera rice.
