  • 1 cups semolina

  • 1/2 cups yogurt

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 10 nos cashew pieces

  • 1 tbsp chana dal

  • 1 tsp urad dal

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp oil


  • Take a bowl add semolina, yogurt and salt mix it well.
  • Add water to make semi thick batter then keep it aside for 10min.
  • Take a pan add oil then add curry leaves stir it then add chana daal, urad daal, mustard seeds and cashew fry till it golden brown.
  • Turn off the flame and keep it to cool completely.
  • After 10min add Tadka in idli mix it well.
  • Take a steamer add water then boil it meanwhile Greece the tray.
  • Add baking soda in batter and mix it well.
  • Pour the batter in each cavity then steam it on medium flame for 10-12min.
  • After 10min cool it little then demould it and serve it with sambar and chutney.
