  • Split Moong Dal -3/4 cup

  • Fresh Curd-2tbsp

  • Green Chillies -6

  • Asafoetida -1 pinch

  • Gram Flour -1tbsp

  • Baking Powder -1/2 tbsp

  • Boiled and Coarsely Mashed Green Peas-1 Cup

  • Cumin Seeds -1tbsp

  • Dry Mango Powder -1tbsp

  • Coriander leaves -2tbsp

  • Salt as per taste

  • Cooking oil

    First make the batter, for that soak the dal for atleast 2 to 3 hours and drain well.

    Combine the soak dal, 4 green chilli, curd, and 1/4 cup of water and blend in a mixer to a smooth paste.

    Add the salt, asafoetida, gram flour and baking powder, mix it gently and keep it aside.

    For green peas topping, boil green peas and coarsely mash it.

    Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds, saute it, and then add the green peas, salt and 2 tbsp of chopped green chillies into it. Mix it well and cook it for 1-2 minutes, while stirring continuously and keep it aside.

    Then heat a tawa, grease it with oil, pour a spoonful of batter on it and spread in circular motion and make it like a cheela.

    Spread a little stuffing on it and press it gently. Cook on low flame for 1-2 minutes. Flip it and then cook it from both sides. Take it out and serve it.
