Ingredients

Serves 4

  • For kadai masala: coriander seeds 2 tsp

  • cumin seeds 1 tsp

  • peppercorns 1 tbsp

  • dry red chilli 2-3 nos

  • For puree: oil 2 tsp

  • chopped ginger 1 inch

  • cashews 8-10 nos

  • garlic cloves 3 nos

  • sized onion chopped 1 nos

  • tomatoes chopped 2 nos

  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

  • red chilli powder 3/4 tsp

  • salt 1 tsp

  • water 4 tbsp

  • For gravy: 150-200 gms

  • oil 2 tsp

  • oil 3.5 tsp

  • capsicum cubed 1/2 nos

  • garam masala 1/2 tsp

  • onion cubed 1/2 nos

  • cream 3 tbsp

  • crushed kasuri methi 1/2 tsp

  • water 3/4 cups

  • salt 3/4 tsp

Directions

    Dry roast kadai masala spices. Allow to cool completely. Grind to powder. Keep it aside

    Heat oil, add ginger and garlic. Saute until raw aroma goes away

  • 03

    Add onions and saute until translucent

  • 04

    Add tomatoes and saute until tender

  • 05

    Add red chilli powder, turmeric and salt with cashew. Saute for minute

  • 06

    Allow to cool completely. Add water and blend to form Puree

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Saute paneer until golden brown. Keep it aside

  • 08

    In same pan, add 2 tsp oil and fry cubed onions and capsicum. Add puree and saute for 2 minutes

    Add salt and water. Mix well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes

  • 10

    Add paneer, kasuri methi, garam masala with kadai masala. Mix well and cook for a minute

  • 11

    Servs hot with rice or roti
