Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 tsp for kadai masala: coriander seeds


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 tbsp peppercorns


  • 2-3 nos dry red chilli


  • 2 tsp for puree: oil


  • 1 inch chopped ginger


  • 8-10 nos cashews


  • 3 nos garlic cloves


  • 1 nos sized onion chopped


  • 2 nos tomatoes chopped


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 3/4 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 4 tbsp water


  • 150-200 gms for gravy:


  • 2 tsp oil


  • oil 3.5 tsp


  • 1/2 nos capsicum cubed


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala


  • 1/2 nos onion cubed


  • 3 tbsp cream


  • 1/2 tsp crushed kasuri methi


  • 3/4 cups water


  • 3/4 tsp salt

Directions

  • Dry roast kadai masala spices. Allow to cool completely. Grind to powder. Keep it aside
  • Heat oil, add ginger and garlic. Saute until raw aroma goes away
  • Add onions and saute until translucent
  • Add tomatoes and saute until tender
  • Add red chilli powder, turmeric and salt with cashew. Saute for minute
  • Allow to cool completely. Add water and blend to form Puree
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Saute paneer until golden brown. Keep it aside
  • In same pan, add 2 tsp oil and fry cubed onions and capsicum. Add puree and saute for 2 minutes
  • Add salt and water. Mix well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes
  • Add paneer, kasuri methi, garam masala with kadai masala. Mix well and cook for a minute
  • Servs hot with rice or roti
