Ingredients
Serves 4
For kadai masala: coriander seeds 2 tsp
cumin seeds 1 tsp
peppercorns 1 tbsp
dry red chilli 2-3 nos
For puree: oil 2 tsp
chopped ginger 1 inch
cashews 8-10 nos
garlic cloves 3 nos
sized onion chopped 1 nos
tomatoes chopped 2 nos
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
red chilli powder 3/4 tsp
salt 1 tsp
water 4 tbsp
For gravy: 150-200 gms
oil 2 tsp
oil 3.5 tsp
capsicum cubed 1/2 nos
garam masala 1/2 tsp
onion cubed 1/2 nos
cream 3 tbsp
crushed kasuri methi 1/2 tsp
water 3/4 cups
salt 3/4 tsp
Directions
Dry roast kadai masala spices. Allow to cool completely. Grind to powder. Keep it aside
Heat oil, add ginger and garlic. Saute until raw aroma goes away
Add onions and saute until translucent
Add tomatoes and saute until tender
Add red chilli powder, turmeric and salt with cashew. Saute for minute
Allow to cool completely. Add water and blend to form Puree
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Saute paneer until golden brown. Keep it aside
In same pan, add 2 tsp oil and fry cubed onions and capsicum. Add puree and saute for 2 minutes
Add salt and water. Mix well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes
Add paneer, kasuri methi, garam masala with kadai masala. Mix well and cook for a minute
Servs hot with rice or roti
