Ingredients
Serves 4
FOR MARINATION:Chicken 500 gms
Mint Leaves 1/2 cups
Coriander Leaves 1/4 cups
green chillies 3 nos
Yoghurt 1/2 cups
Ginger Paste 1 tsp
Garlic Paste 1 tsp
Coriander Powder 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt or more to taste 1 tsp
cumin powder 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder 1/4 tsp
chopped onion 1/4 cups
FOR GRAVY: fInely sliced onions 2 nos
ginger paste 1 tsp
garlic paste 1 tsp
green chilli chopped 1 nos
Cinnamon Stick 1/2 inch
Black cardamom 1 nos
Ol 3 tbsp
medium tomotoes chopped or pureed 2 nos
Coriander Powder 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt or more (adjust to taste) 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder 1/4 tsp
Directions
Clean chicken legs and make gashes or cuts for the marinade to penetrate through.
Except chicken blend all ingredients as mentioned under marination
Mix the marinade into the chicken legs and keep aside for at least two hours.
Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan.
Add the whole spices and let them crackle
Now add the sliced onions and saute till light brown.
To this add the tomatoes and saute for a while.
Add the spices.
To this now add the marinated chicken.
Cover and cook on medium flame for 15 minutes.
Then reduce flame to low and cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve hot with rice or rotis
