Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 bowls lotus stem ovally cut


  • 1/2 bowls besan


  • 3/4 tsp salt


  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder


  • 1 tsp ajwain


  • 1/2 tsp hing

Directions

  • Make batter by adding besan, salt, red chilli powder, ajwaiin and hing in a mixing bowl.
  • Now add little little water and make batter of it.
  • See the consistency of the batter.
  • It should not be runny.
  • Now peel the lotus stem and wash it.
  • Cut this stem into oval shaped fritters.
  • Now dip it in the batter and leave them in the heated oil.
  • Deep fry from both the sides.
  • When it turns brown remove it from the oil.
  • Serve hot with green chutney.
