Make batter by adding besan, salt, red chilli powder, ajwaiin and hing in a mixing bowl.
Now add little little water and make batter of it.
See the consistency of the batter.
It should not be runny.
Now peel the lotus stem and wash it.
Cut this stem into oval shaped fritters.
Now dip it in the batter and leave them in the heated oil.
Deep fry from both the sides.
When it turns brown remove it from the oil.
Serve hot with green chutney.
