Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 kgs chicken -large , finely chopped


  • 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste


  • 1/2 cups tomato and green chili paste


  • 1/2 cups curd


  • 1 tsp chili powder


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1 1/2 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp salt - as required


  • 1/2 tsp sugar


  • 2 tbsp melon seeds and cashewnut paste


  • 4-5 tbsp fresh cream


  • 1 tbsp kasurimethi

Directions

  • Heat kadai with 3 tbsp oil , add bay leaf , cinnamon , green cardamom.
  • Once you get nice aroma ,add chopped onion , stirring continueously untill onion well browned.
  • Then add ginger and garlic paste . stirring it for a minute.
  • Then add tomato and green chili paste ..mix well
  • Now add all chicken pieces , curd and all dry spices and salt and sugar..give a nice stir to mix well everything..
  • Cook it for 5-6 minutes or till oil leaves..
  • Then add melon seeds and cashewnuts paste ..mix well.
  • Now add 1 cup water..give a good stir...cover it and cook it on low-medium flame for 20-25minutes or till chicken cook through..
  • After chicken cooked well , add fresh cream and kasuri methi..mix well..check seasoning...
  • Keep gravy as per your desire consistency..
  • Serve chicken lababdar with lachha paratha, Roti ,Naan or whatever you like
