Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 nos potatoes,medium grated


  • 4 tbsp oats,slightly roasted


  • 1 nos fresh and ripe apple


  • 2 nos cheese cubes,grated


  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves,chopped


  • 2 nos green chillies,finely chopped


  • 1 tsp mint leaves chopped


  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour or corn flour


  • 2 tsp oil, i have used olive oil


  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste

Directions

  • Firstly squeeze excess water from the grated potatoes.
  • Grate apples around the core, and transfer to a colander or strainer, pressing out as much liquid /juice as possible.
  • Coarsely grind the oats.
  • In a broad plate take potato, grated apple, roasted oats, add cheese, coriander, mint, green chillies, salt and corn flour and mix all ingredients very well.
  • Heat a non-stick pan and drizzle some olive oil.
  • Now take a spoonful of prepared mixture on to your greased palm and make a flat round shapes and keep aside.
  • Cook the rösties on a medium flame until golden brown and crisp on both sides, flipping them occasionally.
  • Do the plating and serve hot rösties with hot and sweet sauce or schezuan sauce.
