Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 3-4 patra / colocasia leaves

  • 1 cup besan/ gram flour

  • 1 onion chopped

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tsp mustard seed

  • 1 tsp salt or required

  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

  • 150 gm mince chicken

  • 1 tsp poppy seed

    Heat oil and add mustard seeds . Let it crackle and add poppy seeds and some ginger garlic paste.

    When raw smell goes away add chicken mince and salt and let it cook for 5-10 min.

    In a bowl add besan, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder and make batter.

  • 04

    Wash colocasia leaves and apply the batter on it. Spread chicken mixture and place another leaf. Repeat this procedure for all the leaves . roll the leaves and use a toothpick to hold it.

    use a steamer and steam the roll. when it cool down Cut it into small pieces and deep fry.

    In another pan add some oil and mustard seeds. Let the seed crackle and then add onions , ginger garlic paste and salt

    When the onion turn brown add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander

  • 08

    When the mixture leaves oil add 1 cup water and let it boil.

  • 09

    Add the colocasia pieces and simmer for a minute

  • 10

    Serve hot with rice or paratha or roti
