Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 3-4 patra / colocasia leaves


  • 1 cup besan/ gram flour


  • 1 onion chopped


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1 tsp mustard seed


  • 1 tsp salt or required


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 150 gm mince chicken


  • 1 tsp poppy seed

Directions

  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds . Let it crackle and add poppy seeds and some ginger garlic paste
  • When raw smell goes away add chicken mince and salt and let it cook for 5-10 min.
  • In a bowl add besan, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder and make batter.
  • Wash colocasia leaves and apply the batter on it. Spread chicken mixture and place another leaf. Repeat this procedure for all the leaves . roll the leaves and use a toothpick to hold it.
  • use a steamer and steam the roll. when it cool down Cut it into small pieces and deep fry.
  • In another pan add some oil and mustard seeds. Let the seed crackle and then add onions , ginger garlic paste and salt
  • When the onion turn brown add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander
  • When the mixture leaves oil add 1 cup water and let it boil.
  • Add the colocasia pieces and simmer for a minute
  • Serve hot with rice or paratha or roti
