Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 700 gms chicken


  • 10 nos dry red chilies


  • 2 nos onion(chopped)


  • 2 tsp ginger paste


  • 2 tsp garlic paste


  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg(grated)


  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves


  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds


  • 10 nos peppercorns


  • 1 tsp shahi jeera


  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds


  • 4 nos elaichi


  • 5 nos cloves


  • 1 nos mace blade


  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds


  • 1 nos cinnamon


  • 1/4 cups dried khopra


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 3 tbsp refined oil

Directions

  • Dry roast sesame seeds, poppy seeds, Peppercorns, Shahi jeera, cumin seeds, cinnamon, elaichi, cloves, Mace, khopra, 8 dry red chillies.
  • Make a paste of the above roasted things with little water.
  • Heat a kadhai with oil. Put the rest of dry red chillies and fry them. Remove them from oil and reserve them for garnishing.
  • Now in the same oil, add chopped onion and saute till golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste saute for few minutes and add the roasted masala paste.
  • Stir for few seconds and then add the chicken pieces and salt. Cook with a lid on for few minutes.
  • Then add water and cook till the chicken is done. Sprinkle coriander leaves and fried dry red chillies and serve
