Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1/2 kgs chicken


  • 1 nos onion,chopped


  • 1/2 cups ripe mango puree


  • 1 tsp shahi jeera


  • 1 nos red chili whole


  • 2 nos medium tomatoes,chopped


  • 1/2 tbsp red chili powder


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp chaat masala


  • 2 tbsp hung curd


  • 1 tsp salt or to taste


  • 4 tbsp soya bean oil

Directions

  • Wash chicken pieces and pat dry
  • Heat oil in a pan, add whole red chilli and shahi jeera till splutters
  • Then add onions and cook till slightly pink. Add mango puree and mix till oil separates.
  • Add whisked yogurt and stir
  • Once the oil separates from the curd, add dry spices and mix well
  • Add the chicken pieces and mix till it changes color
  • Add tomatoes and cook till mushy
  • Add 1/2 cup water and cover the lid. Let the chicken cook at low flame
  • Once the chicken is tender, bring the flame to high and thicken the gravy as required. Check for seasoning at this stage.
  • Serve AAM MASTANI MURGH with chapati
