Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 500 gms potatoes


  • 200 gms onion paste


  • 2 tbsp garlic paste


  • 2 tbsp ginger paste


  • 1 cups tomato puree


  • 2 tbsp cream


  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds paste


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp garam masala powder


  • 2 nos cloves


  • 1 inch cinnamon stick


  • 2 nos green cardamom


  • 2 nos whole black pepper


  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 cups clarified butter


  • 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves

Directions

  • METHOD: Peel  the potatoes  and prick it.Heat clarified butter / ghee in a pan.Add potatoes and dip fry till dark brown on low flame and strain it.Heat clarified butter and add cumin seeds and whole garam masala to crackle.Add onion paste,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder and ginger garlic paste and saute for 3 - 4 mins.Add poppy seed paste and mix well.Add tomato puree and saute for 2 - 3 mins.Add cream and mix well.Add fried potatoes and one cup of water and cook cover for 10 mins.Garnish with coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with chapatis
