Heat oil in a handi. Add Zeera and bay leaves and let it splutter.
Add onions and fry till golden. Add ginger paste, garlic paste and green chillies paste and stir till the raw smell goes off.
Now add the tomatoes and cook till mushy
Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt and mix. Sprinkle some water and let the mixture release oil.
Add whisked yogurt and stir.
Now add the chicken pieces and mix well till the gravy coats the chicken pieces.
Add a cup of water and cook the chicken in low flame till done.
Once the chicken is tender, reduce the gravy is needed.
Add Garam masala, Kasuri Methi and mix. Garnish with Fresh coriander leaves
Serve with steamed rice or paratha or roti
