Description

Aamras is basically a mango nectar. It is a delicious Indian summer golden delight which goes very well with pooris or one can relish it just as it is.

Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 nos large mangoes preferably alphonso


  • 1/4 cups milk(optional)


  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar or as per the sweetness of the mangoes


  • 5 nos saffron/kesar strands


  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Directions

  • Rinse the mangoes(alphonso), peel and chop them.
  • Put the mango pieces in a blender jar. Add powdered sugar and saffron strands.
  • Blend the mangoes to smooth pulp.
  • To thin down the aamras, add milk.(optional)
  • Pour in small bowls and chill in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  • Garnish with saffron strands and serve it chilled.
