Aamras is basically a mango nectar.
It is a delicious Indian summer golden delight which goes very well with pooris or one can relish it just as it is.

Ingredients
Serves : 2
2 nos large mangoes preferably alphonso
1/4 cups milk(optional)
1 tbsp powdered sugar or as per the sweetness of the mangoes
5 nos saffron/kesar strands
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
Directions
Rinse the mangoes(alphonso), peel and chop them.
Put the mango pieces in a blender jar. Add powdered sugar and saffron strands.
Blend the mangoes to smooth pulp.
To thin down the aamras, add milk.(optional)
Pour in small bowls and chill in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Garnish with saffron strands and serve it chilled.
