Ingredients

Serves 2

  • curd fresh 3 cups

  • mangoes peeled and chopped 2 nos

  • cardamom, (elaichi) crushed 4 nos

  • powdered sugar or as required. 1 cups

  • saffron strands/kesar 1/4 tsp

  • For the garnish : mixed dry fruits like cashews, pistachios. 2 tbsp

  • almonds blanched and chopped 1 tsp

  • mango chunks (optional) 1 tbsp

Directions

    Hang the curd in a muslin, cheese cloth for 3 hours.

  • 02

    Puree the mangoes in a blender until smooth.

  • 03

    Blend the thick hung curd with a blender

  • 04

    Add mango purée and blend again until mixture is smooth and lump free.

  • 05

    Add sugar, chopped dry fruits and cardamom powder and blend again until smooth

  • 06

    Pour shrikhand in individual serving bowls.

  • 07

    Chill and serve the aamrakhand after garnishing with dry fruits and saffron.

  • 08

    It goes well with pooris, paranthas or you can have just like that
