Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 6-8 nos green chillies


  • 1 inch ginger


  • 4-6 nos garlic cloves


  • 1/2 cups fresh grated coconut


  • 3-4 nos cloves


  • 1 inch cinnamon


  • 1 bowls spinach small


  • 2 tbsp oil


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds


  • 1 1/2 cups basmathi rice ( wash and soak for 20 minutes)


  • 1/2 cups frozen green peas


  • 1 1/2 tsp salt to taste


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

Directions

  • Grind green chillies, ginger, garlic, cloves, cinnamon, coconut, spinach with little water to a fine paste.
  • Heat pressure cooker and add oil,add cumin seeds, fennel seeds and let it splutter
  • Add ground paste, soaked rice, frozen peas and saute
  • Add 2.25 cups of water, salt, garam masala and give a stir.
  • Pressure cook for 2 whistles
  • Serve spinach pulao with onion and tomato raita
