Ingredients

Serves : 10
  • 2 cups quick rolled oats/steel cut oats


  • 6 cups water


  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)


  • 1 tsp or honey


  • 1 tsp or vanilla essence

Directions

  • Soak oats in water overnight.
  • Use little extra water for a thinner milk. Do not use too much of it.
  • Next day, use a stick blender or a blender to whiz the ingredients thoroughly for about 2 minutes.
  • Use a clean muslin cloth or a sieve to strain it.
  • Transfer it to a clean glass pitcher or a jar.
  • Store in the refrigerator well covered and use for more than a week.
  • A fabulous healthy breakfast idea for the elderly. Infact this can be a super awesome breakfast and brunch ideas for every single one of us. Absolutely a winner. This can be made at home so very easily. Steel cut oats are often chosen for this, but i prefer making it with quick rolled oats. 2 ingredients and you are good to go. Can be flavoured with some cinnamon or vanilla. It can be had on it's own or can be used in soups, overnight oatmeal, curries and also perfect for smoothies etc.
