Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 500 gms fresh mutton


  • 300 ml milk


  • 1 tsp green cardamom powder


  • 3 nos cloves


  • 2 nos black cardamom


  • 1 tbsp fennel powder


  • 1 tsp dry ginger powder


  • 3-4 nos crushed garlic


  • 1/2 cups fry onion paste


  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder


  • 1 nos mace piece


  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste


  • 2 tbsp pure ghee

Directions

  • Take mutton,black cardamom,crushed garlic,cloves, salt,mace,fennel and dry ginger powder in a vessel and add required amount of water,cover and cook till mutton tender
  • Now take milk in another pan add green cardamom powder in it and cook till half of original quantity
  • Now heat ghee in another pan,add fry onion paste and stir for a minute
  • Now add tender mutton piece (not add mutton stock at this time) cover and cook for 4 to 5 minutes
  • Meanwhile stir it
  • Now add black pepper powder, salt and remaining stock and already cooked milk in this
  • Cook it in low flame for 4 to 5 minutes again, adjust salt and black pepper according to taste
  • Now Aab-e-Gosht is ready to serve
  • Serve hot with chappati or zafraan rice, garnish with some fried onion over the top
