Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 500 gms mutton


  • 200 gms onion cut in slice


  • 1 tsp garlic paste


  • 1 tsp ginger paste


  • 1 nos cinnamon stick


  • 2 nos bay leaves


  • 2 nos black cardamom


  • 4 nos cloves


  • 8-10 nos black pepper


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 1/4 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 2-3 nos red chilli,whole


  • 1 tsp whole coriander seeds


  • 3/4 cups yoghurt


  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste


  • 3 tbsp oil for cooking


  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped coriander leaves

Directions

  • Heat oil in a pan,add cinnamon,bay leaves, black pepper, cloves and cardamom in it
  • Now add sliced onion and fry till translucent in colour
  • Once onion colour change add washed mutton pieces in it
  • Now add ginger, garlic paste in it
  • Add turmeric powder and stir
  • Now add salt, corriender and red chilli powder in it and mix
  • Add some water and cover it to cook for 12-15 minutes, meanwhile stir it
  • Other side roast corriender seeds and whole red chillies in a pan untill smell comes
  • When done transfer in the mortar and pound it
  • Other side when relased oil from mutton add whisked curd and mix
  • Now add pound corriender and red chilli (reserve some) in this and mix it and if need add little amount of water in it and again cook for 3 to 4 minutes,
  • Finally add fresh chopped corriender leaves mix
  • At time to serve garnish with fresh corriender leaves and sprinkle some pound corriender and red chilli over the top
  • Serve hot with plain rice or chappati for more taste
