Serves : 4
  • For pastry dough : 225 gms of all purpose flour

  • 125gms of chilled white butter

  • 1/2tsp salt

  • 2tbsp chilled water

  • For filling : 125gms of goat mince

  • 3/4 cup onion puree

  • 1tbsp butter

  • 2tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2tsp paprika powder

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot

  • 1 egg yolk for egg wash

  • 1tsp black sesame seeds


  • To prepare the pastry dough : In a bowl put all purpose flour and add in white butter.
  • Mix it with the help of a fork until the the dough mixture resembles bread crumbs texture
  • Now sprinkle in salt and with the help of chilled water bind the dough. Wrap it in a cling wrap and refrigerate until using it.
  • To prepare the filling : put butter in a pan and mix in onion puree .
  • Now cook it till golden and add carrots and garlic powder to it.
  • Cook for 5 minutes and add in spices and goat mince .
  • Cover with lid and cook on slow flame until mince is cooked.
  • Keep aside to cool.
  • Now take out the dough and roll it into a square
  • Put the filling in the centre and roll the dough from one side and pack it into a log.
  • Seal it with the help of water
  • Brush the top of log with egg wah and sprinkle black sesame seeds
  • Now bake it in a preheated oven at 200℃ for 25 to 30 minutes or until the crust turns golden
