Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 435 gms chevon meat


  • 400 gms rice


  • 3 nos onion finely chopped


  • 2 tbsp garlic chopped


  • 1 tsp ginger powder (saunth)


  • 1 tsp cumin


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp turmeric


  • 6 tbsp vegetable oil


  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped


  • 2 tbsp mint leaves


  • 2 tbsp ghee


  • 1 tbsp salt to taste


  • 2 nos mandi masala bay leaves


  • 6 nos green cardamom


  • 2 nos black cardamom


  • 8 nos cloves


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp aniseed powder


  • 1 tsp chilli flakes


  • 2 1/2 litre hot water


  • 10 nos almond


  • 2 tbsp tomoto puree

Directions

  • In a pot, add and marinate the mutton, salt, Mandi Masala, turmeric, vegetable Oil(2tbsp)Keep in the refrigerator for atleast 30 minutessoak rice in water for 30 mins and strain out the rice and keep aside
  •  In a cooking pot, add Oil, onion, cumin, hot spices, salt, green chili and fry it until light brown
  • Now add, garlic chopped, marinated mutton, red chili powder, ginger powder (sonth), coriander powder, cumin powder and cook it for 5 minutesAnd add tomoto puree and let it cook
  • Now add, hot water in it and steam for 30-40 minutes on low flame
  • After steam let the mutton out and add rice in the pot and cook for a while.
  •  After steam let the mutton out and add rice in the pot and cook for a while.
  •  In the end place a foil paper in the middle of rice with ember and ghee, Coriander leaves,mint leaves and cover it for a while.
  • Now garnish with chopped almonds and your tasty Mutton Mandi dish is ready to serve.
