Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Mutton 1 kgs

  • Basmati Rice 1/2 kgs

  • turmeric powder 1 tsp

  • Saffron 1 tsp

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Coriander leaves 1/4 cups

  • Cloves 3 nos

  • Black cardamom 1 nos

  • Green cardamom 3 nos

  • Crush pepper 1 tsp

  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp

  • Oil 2 tbsp

  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp

  • Golden fried sliced onions 2 cups

  • Green chilies 3 nos

  • Curd 2 1/2 cups

  • Mint leaves (chopped) 1/4 cups

  • Lime juice 2 tbsp

  • Black cumin seeds 1 tsp

  • Garam masala powder 2 tbsp

  • cumin powder 1/2 tsp

  • Pepper(crushed) 1 tsp

  • water, required 2 cups

Directions

    Marinate mutton for 1 hour and keep aside.

    Boil the water and add oil, jeera, salt and soaked rice.cook it and drain. keep aside.

    Add chopped red chillies,green chillies,mint leaves,crushed pepper powder, Cumin powder cloves, green cardamom, lime juice, curd,oil mix it well.

    Take another heavy bottomed pan, add the marinated mutton in the bottom and top it off with cooked rice

    Add chopped mint leaves, coriander leaves, and fried onions to it.

    After some time sprinkle saffron water, coriander leaves, mint leaves, garam masala powder, fried onion.

    Cook for 30 minutes by placing tightly closed lid.

    Serve hot with salad and pickle.
