Ingredients

Serves 5

  • Mutton ,cut in small pieces 1 kgs

  • Lemon Juice 1 tsp

  • Roasted Cumin Powder 2 tsp

  • Garam Masala or Mutton Masala 1 tsp

  • fresh ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp

  • crushed green chillies 3-4 nos

  • turmeric powder 1 tsp

  • fresh Coriander Leaves 1/2 cups

  • bay Leaves 2 nos

  • black cardamon 2 nos

  • Cinnamon stick 1 nos

  • Cloves 3-4 nos

  • powdered green cardamon 2-3 nos

  • Coriander Powder 2 tsp

  • Red Chilly Powder 1 tsp

  • Finely Chopped Onion 3-4 nos

  • Finely Chopped Tomatoes 6 nos

  • Curd 2-3 tbsp

  • Oil 2 tbsp

  • Ghee(clarified butter) 3 tbsp

  • Salt to taste 1 tsp

Directions

    Wash mutton pieces thoroughly.

    Take mutton pieces into a bowl.

  • 03

    Add lemon juice, Turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp mutton masala, curd, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and little salt and mix well.

    Cover the bowl and let it marinate for 1 hour.

    After 1 hour in a pan heat 2 tblspn oil and add all the whole spices and roast till aromatic.

    Add marinated mutton pieces and cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame.

    Cook mutton pieces from all the sides.

  • 08

    Now in a pressure cooker heat up ghee.

    Add chopped onion and green chillies.

  • 10

    Cook for 3-4 minutes.

    Add 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste, chopped tomatoes and all dry spices.

    Cook until oil separates.

  • 13

    Add cooked mutton pieces and mix well.

  • 14

    Add water as required.

  • 15

    Close the lid and cook on low flame for 20-25 minutes.

  • 16

    Open the lid and garnish with fresh Coriander Leaves.

  • 17

    Serve hot with roti or rice.
