Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 250gm mince goat meat


  • 1 tbsp chana dal / split chickpea


  • 8-9 garlic cloves


  • 2 chopped green chillies


  • 1-2 tsp coriander leaves


  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder


  • 4-5 curry leaves


  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 4-5 tsp oil


  • 1 small onion chopped

Directions

  • Soak chana dal overnight or 5 hours.
  • Take oil in a pan and add onion. Saute till onion turn translucent.
  • Add green chillies, mince meat into onions . Add some salt and close the lid.
  • Meanwhile take chana dal in mixer pot, add curry leaves, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, salt, garlic and ground coarsely.
  • Check the mince meat , switch of the gas and add chana dal mixture into the meat. Add coriander and mix well.
  • Grease hand with oil. Take mixture on your palm and make muthiya.
  • Grease steamer and place all meat muthiyas inside. Close the lid and steam for 8-9 minutes. Check to see if muthiya are done or cook for 2 minutes more.
  • You can use popsicle stick to decorate and serve with tomato kethup / schezwan sauce or any chutney you like.
  • Sprikle some spring onion and serve hot.
  • Note: you can add food colour if you wish. I used orange food colour.
