Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Carrot 2 chopped in chunks

  • Beetroot 1 chopped in chunks

  • Mustard seeds powder 2 teaspoon

  • Black salt 1 to 2 teaspoon

  • Red chilly powder 1 teaspoon

  • Asafetida 2 pinches

  • Water 2 litre

Directions

    Mix all the dry spices and mustard powder

  • 02

    In a mixing bowl take chopped carrot and Beetroot

  • 03

    Add spices powder and water

  • 04

    Mix well and keep aside covered for 1 day in warm place

  • 05

    Stirr in between

  • 06

    After 2 days strain the extract , refrigerate and serve chilled

  • 07

    Its a very tasty , tempting and digestive juice

    Specially prepared on festival of Holi and in summer

  • 09

    Specially prepared in North India , do try it for sure

  • 10

    After straining , add some more water and repeat the process , some more Kanji will be prepared
