Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 3 tbsp for gulab.jamun: nido milk powder


  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour/maida


  • 1 tbsp semolina


  • 1 pinch baking soda


  • 1 tbsp melted butter or ghee


  • 3-4 tbsp milk,as needed


  • 1 cups for sugar syrup:sugar


  • 1 1/2 cups water


  • 5-6 nos saffron strands


  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

Directions

  • For syrup., in a pan.take sugar, add water and bring to.a gentle boil and simmer till 1-thread consistency is formed
  • Now add saffron.and cardamom powder to.the syrup. Cover and keep aside.
  • In a wide vessel mix Nido powder, maida, semolina, melted butter, a pinch of soda and crumble gently.
  • Slowly add milk and form soft dough
  • Grease palms and make balls from dough.
  • Deep fry the balls on low to moderate flame.
  • After 5 minutes plunge the jamuns into the hot sugar syrup..
  • Cover the lid and let the jamuns steep in the syrup for.2 hours.
  • Serve and enjoy.
