Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 500 gms for marinate:prawns


  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  • 1 tsp pepper powder


  • 1 tbsp soya sauce


  • 1 tbsp chilly sauce


  • 1 tbsp salt to taste


  • 2 tbsp corflour


  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour


  • 1 tbsp for stir fry:ginger chopped


  • 1 tbsp garlic chopped


  • 1 nos capsium,cubed


  • 1 nos spring onion,chopped


  • 1 nos onion,cubed


  • 1 nos green chilly,chopped


  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder


  • 1 tbsp soya sauce


  • 1 tbsp chilly sauce


  • 2 tbsp ketchup


  • 1 tsp salt or to taste


  • 2 tbsp cornflour diluted in 1/2 cup water


  • 2-3 tbsp spring onion greens ,chopped


  • 2 tbsp roasted peanuts ,crushed


  • 1 cups oil for frying

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl add the prawns and all the ingredients mentioned in the marination list, mix well and keep aside for 10-15 mins.
  • In a frying pan heat oil for deep frying the marinated prawns.
  • In a medium heat drop the prawns and deep fry them in batches till golden approx 6-7 mins. Keep aside in an absorbent paper.
  • Heat 3 tbsps in a pan. Use the same oil used to fry the prawns.
  • Add the ginger, garlic, capsicums, spring onion whites, onion, green chillies and saute for 2 mins.
  • Add pepper powder, soya sauce, chilly sauce, ketchup, diluted cornflour, mix well and bring it to a boil.
  • Add the fried prawns, season with salt and saute for about 2 mins.
  • Add the chopped spring Onion greens and crushed Peanuts, give a quick stir and take off the heat.
  • Garnish with chopped spring Onion greens and serve.
