Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 cups for stuffing, green peas


  • 1 nos onion(chopped)


  • 1/2 tsp jeera


  • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder


  • 1/8 tsp amchoor powder


  • 1/4 cups grated paneer


  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • 1 tbsp refined oil


  • 2 nos outer covering,boiled potatoes


  • 4 tbsp coriander leaves(chopped)


  • 1 tsp green chilies(chopped)


  • 1 nos bread slices


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 4 tbsp refined oil

Directions

  • To make the the stuffing, heat a pan with little oil. While the oil is being heated, blanch the green peas in hot oil for 10 minutes and strain them.
  • In the kadhai with oil, add the jeera followed by the chopped onion. Saute till golden brown and then add the ginger garlic paste.
  • Stir for few seconds and then add the powdered masalas, salt.Cook for few seconds and then add the blanched green peas.
  • Put the lid on and cook on a low flame for 6-7 minutes. Now coarsely mash the green peas in the kadhai with a ladle or a masher.
  • Finally add the grated Paneer, mix and check for salt. Stir for few seconds and switch off the flame. Keep aside to cool.
  • Boil the potatoes, peel and mash them. Now add the rest of the ingredients except the oil mentioned under "outer covering", into the mashed potatoes.
  • Mix till everything comes together and becomes a dough. Make small roundels of the potato dough and stuff each one with the green peas filling.
  • Reshape them into TIKKIS. Shallow fry them in little oil and serve.
