Ingredients

Serves : 10
  • 1 1/2 cups boiled sweet potato


  • 1/2 cups semolina


  • 1/2 cups maida


  • 2 tbsp ghee


  • 2 tbsp milk powder


  • 1/4 tsp baking soda


  • 1 1/2 cups sugar


  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  • 1 tsp cardamom powder


  • 10 nos blanched almonds

Directions

  • Mix semolina with boiled mashed sweet potato and keep for 10 minutes
  • Mix milk powder, baking soda with maida and add ghee also. Finely mix with sweet potato ,semolina mixture and make a dough. Rest for another 10 minutes.
  • Divide dough into small balls. For two roses require 4 nos of small puries. Line the pure one after another, little over lapping. Roll the puries and cut it in the middle and put it on the baking tray.
  • Put one blanched almond on the top of each rose.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25- 30 minutes at 180 degree centigrade
  • Meanwhile make sugar syrup. Add 1 cup water with sugar and make medium thin syrup . Add lemon juice and cardamom powder also.
  • Take out roses from the oven and pour hot sugar on the baked roses and keep for 1 hour.
  • Ready to serve hot or cool.
