Peel and cut the potatoes thin and lengthwise .
In a bowl add 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt and soak the potatoes in 10 minutes .
In a large bowl add gram flour , rice flour , salt and onion seeds and 1/2 cup of water to mix a batter .
Heat oil in a deep pan .
Coat a potatoes slices into the batter and deep fry until the potato are golden brown in colour .
