In a pan take oil and add rai. Let it splutter.
Add onions and salt to taste. Let onions turn brown.
Add ginger garlic paste
Add potatoes and cover the lid
Simmer it for 5 minutes .
Add salt , haldi and mirchi powder. Mix well and cover again
Meanwhile Boil the peas In water
When potatoes are cooked add peas along with water and cover it for 5 minutes.
Bring it to a boil.
Aloo mattar is ready. Serve hot with rice or chapati
