Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 250 gms ilish fish


  • 1 nos large onion paste


  • 1 tsp ginger paste


  • 2 tbsp cashews paste


  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds paste


  • 1 tsp kashmiri chili powder


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1 tsp garam masala powder


  • 3 tbsp ghee


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp sugar


  • 4 tbsp tomato sauce

Directions

  • Wash and cut the fish pieces , and marinate the fish pieces with a little salt .
  • Heat a pan and 1 teaspoon ghee and shallow fry the fish pieces .
  • Heat remaining ghee in a pan add onion paste and fry .
  • After that add ginger paste and fry for 2 minutes .
  • Now add the cumin powder and fry well .
  • Now add the cashews paste and poppy seeds paste and fry for 5 minutes .
  • All masala are fry well and ghee leaves the sides then add tomato sauce and salt and mix well .
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and add the fish and cook for 7 - 8 minutes .
  • Sprinkle dome garam masala powder and serve with roce or pulao .........
