Singhara Spicy Bites

  • 1 cups curd

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp senda namak/rock salt,according to taste

  • 1 tbsp ghee

  • 1 tsp chopped coriander and green chilies,as per taste

  • 1 cups chopped capsicum and tomato

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder or according to taste

  • 2 cups singhara flour

  • 4 cups water


  • Take a big mixing bowl add singhara flour, curd, lemon juice, sugar and rock salt according to taste. Mix and make a thick batter.
  • Boil 4 cups water in a big pan or kadai.
  • Pour batter in greased thali and put on the pan of boiling water, cover it and cook for 20 minutes.
  • After cooking take the thali out from pan. When it's completely cooled down, cut into small piece.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan, add chopped green chillies, black pepper powder and saute it for few seconds.
  • Now add chopped vegetables, salt and cook for 6 to 7 minutes on medium flame.
  • Now add singhara bites and saute for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame, then switch off the flame.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander.
  • Singhara spicy bites is ready to serve.
