Ingredients

  • Rice 2 bowls

  • Toordal(Pigeon pea) 1 bowls

  • Oil 2 tsp

  • Mustard and cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

  • Red chili powder 1 tsp

  • Garam masala 1 tsp

  • Salt 2 tsp

  • Garlic 5 nos

  • Coriander leaves lite paste 2 tsp

  • Dessicated coconut 1 tsp

  • Tamalpatra leaves 2 nos

Directions

    Wash rice and dal and keep aside

  • 02

    Cut garlic and onion ,boil some water

  • 03

    Heat oil add mustard and cumin seeds when flutter add garlic pieces then add cut onion and tamalpatr

    Saute it for 2 minutes then add turmeric powder,redchili powder saute it

    Then add washed dal and add 1 glass boiled water let it cook for 5 minutes

    Then add washed rice and stir well boil for 5,7 minutes add boiled water 1/2 glass ,add salt and garam masala stir well

    Now low the flame cook it till the rice and dal get soft ,steam for 5 minutes with lid khichadi is ready

    Serv with coriander leaves and desiccated coconut with udad papad.
