Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 cups kova (unsweetened)


  • 3 tbsp maida


  • 2 nos elaichi


  • 1 1/2 cups sugar


  • 1 1/2 cups water


  • 2 drop rose essence


  • 1 cups oil-for frying

Directions

  • Take kova in a bowl and crumble it well.then add maida and mix well.
  • Slowly add water little by little and make a smooth dough without any cracks.
  • Allow it to rest for 10 mins.
  • Then make make small equal sized smooth balls out of the dough.
  • In a vessel add water, sugar, powdered elachi and saffron, bring to boil for 10 minutes in medium flame and then switch off the flame. add 2 drops of essence.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and fry the jamuns in medium flame until golden brown.
  • Drain the oil and immediately add it to hot syrup. Let it get soaked well and then serve.
