Kova (unsweetened) 1 cups
Maida 3 tbsp
Elaichi 2 nos
Sugar 1 1/2 cups
Water 1 1/2 cups
Rose Essence 2 drop
Oil-for frying 1 cups
Take kova in a bowl and crumble it well.then add maida and mix well.
Slowly add water little by little and make a smooth dough without any cracks.
Allow it to rest for 10 mins.
Then make make small equal sized smooth balls out of the dough.
In a vessel add water, sugar, powdered elachi and saffron, bring to boil for 10 minutes in medium flame and then switch off the flame. add 2 drops of essence.
Heat oil in a kadai and fry the jamuns in medium flame until golden brown.
Drain the oil and immediately add it to hot syrup. Let it get soaked well and then serve.
